Hyderabad: Srivani, the Sri City Spiritual & Literary Forum, hosted a vibrant literary event at the Business Centre, uniting renowned authors, literary critics, and book enthusiasts. The occasion celebrated the launch of three notable Telugu literary works: Seshachala Kondakonallo by Bhuman, Samudram and Srigandham by Dr Kanupuru Srinivasulu Reddy.
Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder & MD of Sri City, unveiled Seshachala Kondakonallo, authored by Bhuman, a renowned mountaineer, writer, and speaker. The book captures the beauty and spiritual essence of the Seshachalam hills, offering readers a profound journey through nature and self-discovery.
Building on the literary excitement, Sannareddy Rajagopala Reddy released Srigandham, while Dr Ravindra Sannareddy launched Samudram, two Telugu short story anthologies written by Dr Kanupuru Srinivasulu Reddy. These collections explore the depths of human emotions, cultural nuances, and intricate narratives that enrich Telugu literature. Dr Srinivasulu Reddy's storytelling weaves profound messages and life lessons into every tale. His unique writing style makes this book a must-read for every Telugu literature enthusiast.
Following the launch of the books, literary critics, including Dr RM Umamaheswara Rao, Prof Petasri, Mr. Jinka Nagaraju, Dr. Pellakuru Jayaprada, and Dr. Perugu Ramakrishna, shared their insightful perspectives on the literary depth, narrative style, and thematic richness of the works. They emphasised the books' impact on contemporary Telugu literature, exploring the authors' distinctive storytelling styles, the blend of emotional and philosophical depth in the narratives, and the themes' significance in today's society. Their critical analyses provided readers with a deeper appreciation of the book's artistic and intellectual value. Prof P Kusuma Kumari, former Vice-Chancellor of Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) also addressed the gathering.
Dr Ravindra Sannareddy expressed his delight in releasing the book, his very first, noting that he was especially pleased that it focuses on the Seshachalam Hills. Reflecting on the significance of literature, he stated, "Literature is the soul of a civilisation, preserving stories that shape and inspire generations. Srivani remains committed to fostering literary excellence, and today's book launches reaffirm our dedication to promoting Telugu literature."
Author Bhuman expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am truly honoured that Dr Ravindra Sannareddy has released my book. The Seshachalam Hills have been an integral part of my long trekking journey, and I deeply appreciate the support of my friends, students, and forest officials who have accompanied me along the way. Dr Sannareddy's commitment to fostering intellectual and cultural enrichment in the Sri City community resonates deeply with the core theme of my book, which delves into the harmony between nature and the human spirit."
Dr Kanupuru Srinivasulu Reddy said, "A story is not just a collection of words but a reflection of life itself. Palleti Balaji of Sri City was the compere of the ceremony. The event witnessed active involvement of literature lovers, scholars, and Sri City residents, furthering Srivani's mission to honour and safeguard the wealth of Telugu literature.
